after signing on as a performer for the concert for clean water, i did a little research and found an editorial written by curtis stigers. it was really informative and made such sense to me that i wrote a song the day before the show and sang it acapella at the concert. i know it alot better now. go to the www.idahostatesman.com
website and look up curtis stigers editorial 9/06/2006
nothing in their hearts
c.thomas 2006

they want to come up to atlanta,
gonna tear it all apart
They say there’s gold up in them hills
There’s nothing in their hearts
Well its gonna hurt the river
Leave it just the way it is
For the future generations
Our families and our kids theres something you can do

Let it flow, let it flow
Let it know that you care
Let it flow see it flow
see the beauty, feel that air
Treat it well and you know
Respect will come to you
Let it flow let it flow
There’s something you can do

Well if kindness speaks in volumes
So do our mistakes
if they want to spread their poisons
I say take it to their graves
we don’t want this devastation
Keep our water pure and clean
Treating the earth with disrespect
Is haunting and obscene
You’ve got to help to make sure

It will flow it will flow
It will always know you care
Let it flow let it flow
See the beauty, smell that air
Treat it well and you know
Respect is there for you
Let it flow let it flow
There’s something we can do

Now we all must join together
Let our voices ring out true
cause this version of bad business
Will effect all that we do
If we lived out in Montana
Its illegal there to do
But we’re living here in Idaho
its up to me and you
